Gesture:
Dancer/musician pairs attempt to unify musical gesture and danced gesture, using a range of strategies:
literal: using equivalent physical gestures to produce sound and motion;
abstract: sonic arc and danced arc are matched, creating the same phrasing;
metaphoric: more interpretative, symbolic, etc.;
further strategies: embodied, narrative, abstract, coded, etc.

Y

Reenactment:
Upon completion of an improvisation, performers must attempt the exact duplication of that performance.

At the office in front of the office where the person who will decide if I can make my street performance, they read my application. “Don’t say ‘event’. Don’t say ‘artist’. Don’t say … etc”. In the end, the lady rewrote the whole application for me, avoiding the words that would trigger more bureaucracy…! #caliconojos #kafka #artpolitics #cali #colombia by instafnogr http://ift.tt/1hNI9bI

Asking permission to make a street intervention in Cali, Colombia.. I have cue up for 20 minutes to hand in the application, in paper. The answer, in 15 days will be something like: “Yes you can do it. You just need permission from 1) the police, 2) red cross 3) etc etc etc” #caliconojos #Kafka #bureaucracy by instafnogr http://ift.tt/1qB7Lby
